zambian feathers
an african birds` story
Over two years, Anne has explored Zambia’s wild places with her camera, capturing the country’s remarkable birdlife along rivers, wetlands, forests and open plains. From tiny sunbirds and colourful bee-eaters to eagles, storks and other impressive birds, her photographs reflect the incredible diversity she has encountered along the way.
Michael brought these images together through the creative concept and layout of the book, shaping them into a visual journey through Zambia’s birdlife.
Together, they have created a personal collection of photographs that reflects their fascination with the birds, landscapes and unexpected encounters that make Zambia such a special place to explore.
For both photographers, it is the unexpected moments that make photographing birds so special: a flash of colour in the bush, a bird perfectly reflected in the water, or a species appearing just when the light is right.
They hope this collection gives you a glimpse of the incredible diversity nature offers — and perhaps inspires you to look a little closer at the birds around you.
